The Government’s Five-Year Program 2020-2024, the Sea Policy and Strategy, as well as Agenda 2030, which approves the Sustainable Development Goals, emphasize the need to promote aquaculture in a sustainable way, as a means of increasing production, achieving food security, improving nutrition, increasing household income, improving domestic supply to reduce the fish deficit, increasing the convertible currency revenues generated by the sector, by increasing the volumes of fish production for export.
