This innovative mechanism is the result of a partnership with BIOFUND, signed in January 2022, to channel financial support to the Chimanimani National Park for the protection of natural resources in that important Conservation Area. With the annual amount from the sale of coffee, Chimanimani National Park will strengthen the protection of the biodiversity of this Conservation Area, recognized as a Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) thanks to its exceptional level of plant endemism, importance for birds and for being home to unique species of plants, birds, butterflies, amphibians, reptiles and mammals.
